Nordic X-Lam Cross-Laminated Timber (Clt)

A range of new architectural options

Cross-laminated timber (CLT) offers new design possibilities, facilitates the construction of structures with a clean and organic appearance and gives free rein to architectural creativity.

Clt Floor Panels

Universal panels are suitable for interior decoration of residential and industrial premises, they serve for many years without losing their original attractiveness. Clt wood floors can even be used in place of concrete slabs, monolithic concrete and other types of floors. The main ones include:

respect the environment;

high strength characteristics;

excellent sound insulation;

no shrinkage and ability to proceed to finishing immediately after construction is complete;

quick and easy installation;

small weight;

health safety, absence of melamine and formaldehyde resins;

good insulating properties, which ensures high thermal efficiency;

possibility of taking any form (according to the plan of the project). If you use it as an inter-story ceiling, you get a wooden ceiling on the first floor, which not only looks very attractive, but can also be easily finished, painted or covered with something; and a durable and warm floor on the second floor, which can also be covered with any other floor covering - parquet, laminate, etc. CLT Floor Panel Production Process

The clt floor detail is a massive multi-layered construction of wooden slats glued perpendicular to each other and in layers. For cross-laminated timber panels to be multi-layered, the pieces are laid in a row and glued together, the next layer is laid on top of the previous one with a 90 degree turn. Panels have the following maximum settings:

Length 16.5 meters Width 29.5 meters Thickness from 60 to 500 millimeters Weight from 480 to 500 kilograms cubic meter

The material is distinguished by the stability of geometric parameters. Whichever one you choose, building the clt floor makes the interior design process much quicker and easier:

No visual quality. Visual quality panels do not require finishing, in rare cases they are varnished.

Cross Laminated Timber

In order to achieve good sound insulation values even for components that separate living rooms belonging to different people from each other, double-shell structures are mainly used. To achieve the required sound insulation, construction measures minimize the direct transmission of structure-borne sound through the solid component by decoupling the noise emission on the upper face of the ceiling from the emitting surface on the lower face. By combining screeds and footfall sound insulation mats on the upper side with ceiling panels also below, a very good footfall sound insulation for ED BSP | cross-laminated timber elements. To minimize lateral transmissions in the connection area, elastic bearings are used for the ceiling elements and special fixings, which help to further improve the sound insulation between the user units.

Cross Laminated Timber Floor Detail

Clt

Cross-laminated timber or CLT is a pre-engineered structural panel used to form environmentally friendly walls, roofs and floors in a wide range of structures. The bonding of the longitudinal and transverse layers, which reduces the movement of the wood, means that CLT more than meets the standards required by modern building materials. CLT is produced by stacking layers of wood, called slats, at 90° to the bottom layer and gluing the slats together to create structural wood panels up to 22m long and 22m wide. 3.5m.

Clt Floor Construction

Factory precast CLT is used for floors in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, including floor diaphragms in multi-storey wood construction. CLT is very economical for residential floors, especially those on sloping floors where a flat floor platform can be quickly achieved. XLam floor panels are placed by crane at the rate of approximately 100m² of floor space per hour, meaning an entire house floor can be placed in less than four hours.
