Use a grinder to remove the head and/or lift off the floor after cutting the FG (lip) tab around the edges. Back riser, front riser then center yourself on a 13ft. Not sure if 16ft has these same "natural" sections or if you just had to decide how big of a section to complete before removing the next section. The suggestion to use the 2x4 cut just a little longer than the distance between the belly band to the ground and the belly band to the bumper and the tongue allowed the 2x4s to be wedged under the belly band to support the wall when this floor section has been removed. Seems to be what my headliner is glued to, and although it's been used under floors for decades, it's never been good enough for any of the flooring manufacturers to guarantee their product when the luan (aka - lauan) is used below. There are of course better alternatives, but I guess the makers have decided that whatever looks good and helps them get as much crap as possible, as fast as possible, to market is what's most important. Guess that makes sense, since the age where more and more people are losing their homes and ending up in motorhomes as an alternative has been a big part of this past decade and more (and it's accelerating from more and more every day), so this has all been a gold mine for RV hackers, and it looks like it will continue to be. All of this reminds me of the big three American automakers in the 70s when they went to Congress and all complained about how hard it was to do anything to build cleaner cars and how many decades that they claimed it was going to take them to even start thinking in those terms. The Japanese have taken the attitude that building the best of something will eventually gain market share, whereas most American manufacturers have traditionally focused simply on this quarter's profits and how to make bigger less expensive faster, and it shows - unfortunately. When it comes to the RV industry (and the US-based part in particular), there are so many amazingly efficient new materials and types of equipment, which could be used to build some truly wonderful units, that it's is absolutely stunning. Pretty amazing stuff, and sure enough, the more companies that use it, the less it can be made and distributed, but no, they're still building with sticks and stuffing fiberglass (one of worst insulators in the world) between the sticks. So instead of suffocating in your leaky box while the generator hums to empty your diesel or LPG tank by the minute, we could enjoy really comfortable air-conditioned spaces using half or less of the power. energy, making all solar solutions smaller and cheaper. all the more viable. We should already have 48-volt solar rooftops with built-in Tesla electric walls available, powering high-efficiency air conditioning, quiet hydronic heat, super-efficient refrigeration, and smokeless induction cooking, plus direct solar heating from water with PV boost for endless hot water. Taking a 10 or 20 year loan might then start to make a bit of sense (although I would always argue otherwise, but that's for another rant).# Video | Rv Sandwich Floor Repair
